Shanelle “Kazayah” Mitchell, a first-generation American from the Chicago area, carries the vibrant energy of her Jamaican heritage. She began singing as a child and later connected with roots reggae, working with numerous producers and sharing stages with some of the genre’s most iconic artists worldwide.


Her debut EP, I Am Kazayah, was released through a distribution partnership with Tuff Gong Worldwide, Ziggy Marley’s record label. She also had the honor of opening for Ziggy Marley on tour. Now recognized as one of  most promising female reggae Artist and songwriters, she draws comparisons to legends like Marcia Griffiths, Lauryn Hill, and Jah9. With her powerful and unique sound, Kazayah remains dedicated to spreading light, joy, and peaceful vibrations to audiences around the world.
